ALEXANDER MARVIN

Alexander Marvin is is a self described multidisciplinary visual artist and problem solver. Growing up in the upper Midwest in Minneapolis, Minnesota, he explored the outdoors, fine arts, heady conversations, and mathematics. Early in his childhood he spent most summers in Northern Minnesota, spending time in and around the lakes - keenly observing and being present - these summers had a profound and lasting impact on his psyche. These early childhood experiences continues to guide and influence his work. A bit of an odd-ball holding a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, with years of industry experience designing speciality LED based illumination sources, he has recently refocused his goals towards visual story telling, digital image making, connecting with Nature and encouraging others to do the same in an age where it seems difficult to be without technology.

He enjoys spending quality time outdoors and deep conversations with books and people indoors. He currently resides in Minneapolis, Minnesota after spending almost two years on the Western Slope of the Colorado Rocky Mountains and nearly six quality weeks in coastal Alaska. He is available for portrait sessions, digital video coverage, photographic merchandising, environmental conservation initiatives, as well as work which supports non-profits and community oriented small businesses. He has fine art photography prints available by request on a variety of mediums for individual collectors, businesses, and galleries alike.
